So yesterday I ordered these bags here on my left from Lehman's. I am on the rampage to RID MY LIFE of plastic bags that take 1,000 years to decompose.
I'm going to let that sink in for a minute.
1,000 years.
So check out these beauties! $12 for 2! I LOVE places that make it cheap and easy to be green! They weigh 1/2 pound each and carry up to 40 lbs! And look at how beautifully they fit in the cart! I am so excited I can hardly stand myself right now. They will live in the back of my car so I will never be left trying to juggle 8 jars of baby food, a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread, and a chicken in my two hands.

I saw a guy last week in Kroger that was using some bags like this and I thought to myself "I really need to get some of those, as much as I shop here". Thanks for posting this information - everyone should use them! Every little effort counts.
HOORAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!
Great idea! I'm on a mission, too, but it's more of an accumulation of canvas bags type deal for me. These are a great idea!
I still can't believe how none of the grocery stores here even offer you anything but plastic (excpet Whole Foods, but they still assume you want plastic -- "plastic okay?"). But, I'm encouraged because IKEA recently started charging customers 5 cents per plastic bag! That's making a big statement, I think. Even though it could be argued that they should cost more -- at least you have to buy your own bags!
I too plan on getting some in the next couple of weeks. I think they are an amazing idea and I plan on telling everyone I know about them!
i am inspired too...but what i want to do is borrow jen's sewing machine and do what this woman did...check out:

oh, will it happen?
I did go to Wild Oats last night and was happy to see that they offered paper bags. I LOVE that store and am sad to admit that I had never been there. My daughter and I were in there for about two hours!
